Carthage and Nauvoo

This is outside Carthage Jail.
This is the cell where Joseph and Hyrum were supposed to be, but the jailer let them out after he decided there were not dangerous criminals. It was 120 degrees in this room on the day they were martyred.
The window on the top is the one Joseph fell out of when we was shot.

In the room with the cell, there were 3 or 4 small windows like this and that was the only light that the room had.
This is a replica of the bed inside the cell. John Taylor was placed here between the matresses and the straw after he was shot.
Outside the jail.

The big, floody, muddy Mississippi River.

This is the back of Zion's Merchantile where we stayed. We went in the door and there were 2 rooms there.
This is standing on the corner where Zion's Merchantile is.
Our room. Can you believe it?
A sculpture inside the visitor's center.
Our cute little blacksmith who made us a mini horseshoe.

This is the Mansion House where Joseph and his family lived when he was taken to Carthage.
The Homestead is the first place Joseph and his family lived in Nauvoo. In the foreground is where Joseph, Hyrum and Emma are now buried.
Their graves.
My cute kids in front of a sculpture of Joseph and Hyrum leaving for Carthage.

In front of the temple.
