I love living the the Black Hills. The forest is beautiful. We have a beautiful canyon. As a matter of fact, Frank Lloyd Wright said, "How is it that I've heard so much about the Grand Canyon, when this is even more miraculous?" We live just close enough to Rapid City, but far enough away. We do have to deal with "tourist season" (I never thought I'd have to deal with that) and the Sturgis Bike Week (that has to be experienced to be understood). Even with all that I love my little town.
I even expect to have snow. We don't get nice light, fluffy snow. We get the moisture laden, holy-cow-how-can-I-shovel-that snow. Well, just in case you've been hiding somewhere, it's time for our Spring Blizzard. It always comes, it never fails. And holy moly is there snow out there!
